New NATURA™-Micro ASP and LHS

The NATURA™-Micro Advantage
KiddeFenwal is excited to introduce Kidde Fire Systems branded NATURA™-Micro ASP and NATURA™-Micro LHS Inert Gas Systems designed specifically for small object protection. Expand Your Portfolio with Scalable Cabinet Protection.
Product Offering
Choose between two detection methods for fast air sampling or cost-competitive linear heat sensing:
• NATURA™-Micro ASP: for aspirating smoke detection
• NATURA™-Micro LHS: for linear heat sensing

Both models protect enclosures up to 132 ft³ (3.75 m³) each and up to eight units can be interconnected to protect a total volume of 1,059 ft³ (30 m³).

The NATURA™-Micro system is an object-level fire suppression system designed for critical, enclosed, small-to-medium assets. It provides localized protection to prevent fire spread, using Nitrogen to protect sensitive electronics and artifacts without causing collateral damage. Cabinet/Object Fire Protection suppresses fires directly at the source, preventing small incidents from escalating into major business impacting events.

Kidde Inert 469 System for Marine and Industrial Systems

Kidde Fire Protection's 469 Inert extinguishing systems for Land based and Marine applications are inert gas blends consisting of a mixture of two or more gases found naturally in the atmosphere: Typically, Argon (Ar), Nitrogen (N2) and CO2. An Inert Gas discharge results in a gas mixture with a density similar to that of air. Inert Gas 469 Series (Restrictor Model)
Kidde Inert Gas System Benefits:
Clean Agent for protection of high value assets.
This is an Inert Gas extinguishing system for Industrial applications.
IG-55: Container Mix of 50% Nitrogen and 50% Argon
IG-541: Container Mix of 52% Nitrogen, 40% Argon & 8% Carbon Dioxide
IG-100: 100% Nitrogen
IG-01: 100% Argon

CONTAINERS
Container sizes from 15.9, 67.5, 80 and 140 litres, the latter providing a reduction in container quantity thus substantial cost saving for large projects. Each container is manufactured from high strength alloy steel and the assembly is TPED approved.

Lower Installation, Labor and Refill Costs
• Several sizes of pre-fabricated manifolds with pre-installed check valves ready for discharge hose connections
• Fast & easy installation using quick-connect actuation hoses and electrical connections
Economical agent refill cost after a discharge.

Why choose an inert gas system?
Safe for the Environment.
Pure Inert gases and the constituents of the blended versions are found naturally in the atmosphere. These gases are environmentally responsible, having an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of zero and a global warming potential (GWP) of zero. At room temperature, inert gases are colorless and odorless.
Safe for Human Exposure.
In occupied areas, people can breathe Inert gas blends at extinguishing concentrations below 52% for very brief periods of time during egress. There are no toxicological factors associated with the use of Inert gases as they will not decompose or produce any by-products when exposed to a flame.

Technical Specifications
• Actuate up to 60 cylinders with single electric actuator.
• Can be used with selector valves to protect multiple hazards from a single cylinder bank.
• Vent requirements equivalent to chemical clean agents due to flow controlled valve.

Applications for Kidde Inert Gas Systems:
• Art Galleries
• Control Rooms
• Electric Switch Rooms
• Financial Centres and Banks
• Medical Facilities
• Museums
• Petrochemical Installations
• Pharmaceutical Facilities
• Rare Book Libraries
• Record Storage Facilities
• Telecommunication Centres

EFFICIENT
Small and large-scale tests have proven that fire is extinguished quickly, before any serious damage can occur. This is achieved by reaching the minimum design concentration within the maximum two minute discharge period for Class A fires and 60 one minute for Class B fires.

COST-EFFECTIVE
By using its tried and trusted range of 150, 200 and 300 bar equipment, Kidde Fire Protection can offer a cost-effective fire extinguishing system

Inerts - Kidde Natura™ Inert Gas System

NATURA
Environmentally safe and cost-effective fire protection system protecting assets including those in commercial, light industrial, and heavy industrial applications.
The Kidde Fire Protection Natura™ Inert Gas System provides flexibility with your choice of four agents, efficient installation and overall lower total cost of ownership driven by reduced material, installation and labour costs, as well as a more economical refill cost after a discharge.

Compared with other high-pressure inert gas systems, our series 400 valve regulates flow and pressure to allow the use of Schedule 40 piping for many applications. Installation time and labour costs are further reduced with the use of prefabricated manifolds, quick-connect actuation hoses and electrical connectors.

Safe for the Environment. Pure Inert gases and the constituents of the blended versions are found naturally in the atmosphere. These gases are environmentally responsible, having an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of zero and a global warming potential (GWP) of zero. At room temperature, inert gases are colourless and odourless.

System Benefits

Kidde Fire Protection Inert 469 System for Marine and Industrial systems 469

Kidde Fire Protection's 469 Inert extinguishing systems for Land based and Marine applications are inert gas blends consisting of a mixture of two or more gases found naturally in the atmosphere: Typically, Argon (Ar), Nitrogen (N2) and CO2. An Inert Gas discharge results in a gas mixture with a density similar to that of air.

Therefore:
+ Extinguishant hold times are increased.
+ The need for room sealing reduced.

Kidde Fire Protection's 469 Inert Gas system extinguishes fire by physically removing a proportion of the oxygen from the atmosphere. In occupied areas, people can breathe safely for short periods of time at design concentrations. There are no toxicological factors associated with the use of various inert gas mixtures and it will not decompose or produce any by-products when exposed to a flame.
Inert gas is a colourless, odourless gas. It is environmentally neutral, having zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero global warming potential (GWP).

Nitrogen Suppression System

Nitrogen is an environmentally acceptable, people friendly fire extinguishing agent for vital facilities with a wide range of hazards.

Nitrogen fire suppression systems utilize pure Nitrogen, which is naturally occurring gas present in the atmosphere.  It is safe for use in occupied spaces and poses no threat to the environment. Nitrogen operates as a fire suppressant by reducing the oxygen content within a room to a point at which the fire will extinguish, without compromising the safety of individuals present in the room.  Nitrogen will not decompose or produce any by-products when exposed to a flame.

Features:
  • Effective against fires involving many combustible materials and flammable liquids
  • Requires no cleanup after a fire event as the result of agent release
  • Will not damage protected assets
  • Can be stored at low ambient temperature
  • Economical recharges with locally accessed agent
Technical Specifications:
  • Non-conductive and can be used in environments where sensitive electronic equipment is present
  • Lacks oxidative qualities
  • Poses no threat to the environment (Zero ozone depletion/zero global warming)
Listing & Approvals:

  • FM Approved
  • ULC Listed
